5 Restaurants for Date Night in Disney Springs

By Holley Long

A day spent at Disney Springs is always full of fun, whether you’re shopping, listening to live music, or grabbing a meal at one of the many unique restaurants. Disney Springs is also a great spot for date night, and if you’re looking for the right restaurant to dine with that special someone, we have a few great suggestions!

1. Wine Bar George

Live out your sommelier dreams during date night at Wine Bar George. With over 200 wines selected from established wineries and up-and-coming regions, the restaurant has plenty of options to delight the senses, and for novice tasters, your waiter can help find the right glass of vino for your palate.

Wine Bar George is also a good spot for those who want to sample an array of food. I’ve visited a few times, and typically I order a bunch of small plates, like the hummus, mac and cheese bites, and charcuterie and artisanal cheese boards. These dishes allow you to slow down and really experience the different flavors, which can spark a conversation between you and your partner about how well each pairs with your choice of wine.

2. Morimoto Asia

Dine in beauty and splendor at Morimoto Asia. Twinkling, 20-foot long chandeliers dangle from the restaurant’s high ceiling, and Shanghai-inspired lounges and private dining spaces offer plenty of places to enjoy a night out. You and your partner can even catch a glimpse of the cooking action through a glass-encased kitchen.

That behind-the-scenes view of the food prep will have your mouth watering as you anticipate the arrival of Pan-Asian cuisine. Enjoy classic dishes like Peking duck—a carved, roasted bird with flour tortillas, sauces and rice—or meals with a local spin, like the orange chicken tossed in sweet Florida orange sauce. The sushi and sashimi menu is also superb, with an extensive list of fish from around the world to choose from.

3. Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill

This restaurant is probably the most casual date night spot on this list, perfect for a laid-back couple wanting a relaxed evening out while still enjoying an intimate experience. Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill’s decor is farmhouse meets California elegance, and the menu reflects that vibe as well, with dishes like crispy calamari and Prosciutto and Dino Melon, but also creamy mac and cheese and BBQ chicken pizza.

The dessert menu has a lot to consider, like house-made carrot cake and chocolate chip cookies. If you want to enjoy your sweet treat while strolling through Disney Springs, the restaurant also has a Gelato Bar, with an assortment of flavors and toppings to make the perfect sundae.

4. Terralina Crafted Italian

Dinner with a view? Say no more. Glass walls and windows throughout the rustic, Italian kitchen-inspired restaurant provide a beautiful backdrop of Lake Buena Vista during your meal. And, for more views, you can step out on the outdoor veranda bar for people-watching over Riverfront Plaza.

The restaurant is family-friendly, but the cozy atmosphere makes dinner feel intimate for two, as well. The traditional Italian dishes like pastas and pizzas are of course amazing, but this is one place where you’ll want to save room for dessert. With options including tiramisu, cannolis, and a white chocolate and mixed berry bread pudding, you won’t know where to start—or, for that matter, where to stop!

5. STK Orlando

Chic lounge meets modern steakhouse at STK Orlando. The two-story fine dining restaurant features upscale decor, and indoor and outdoor seating, a fire pit lounge, and rooftop terrace provide plenty of places to enjoy your meal. And what a meal. Just looking at the menu, with appetizers like crispy calamari and oysters, and a wide-ranging steak list, has my mouth watering.

Accompanying a stellar menu is the fun vibe that STK brings to the table. A DJ in the main dining room plays upbeat music that fills the two-story restaurant with energy. While STK Orlando is an awesome spot for a night out with your sweetheart, it’s also good for a double, or even triple, date with friends as the lively mood—and a few crafted cocktails—will keep everyone animated.
