What inspired the new Jock Lindsey Halloween overlay?

According to Michael Reiss, the General Manager of Disney Springs Business Relations and Food & Beverage, the new Halloween overlay for Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar was inspired by holiday themes from previous years. Reiss explains, "It started a few years ago when we thought, why wouldn't Jock Lindsey do Halloween?"

The planning for this new overlay took approximately a year. Reiss notes, "You start about a year ahead of time because, as we've developed new items, there are many iterations involved in tasting and vetting them. Even simple things, like naming a dish, must be approved through multiple channels. Someone else might have the name trademarked, and there are all those types of considerations."

One fascinating insight into the Hangar bar,  according to Reiss, is that "everything here has to pass through Lucasfilm because of the association with Jock Lindsey. We have certain trademark responsibilities there, and that process takes time."  From there, every detail from pricing to theming has to be nailed down. And while we're sure it's a legal and detail-oriented process, there's something fun about knowing Lucasfilm has a say in one of our favorite little spots at Disney Springs."

The question of our favorites may haunt us– quite literally! We enjoyed the Phantom Dumplings and The Spike Trap. Whether you’re an Indiana Jones fan, a foodie looking for unique bites, or just someone who loves festive overlays, this is a limited-time experience worth checking out.
