Crooked Can Brewing Co. is officially welcoming the public to its City Center Market at Minneola’s Hills City Center. Fans began showing up Wednesday evening to support the business and enjoy the community space. Many of the venue’s 11 vendors are working to complete their locations.
Open for business
Managing partner Alan Delahunt posted the opening night announcement to social media just a couple of hours before the doors opened at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15. The evening’s service was brisk with new customers showing up on Thursday for the first full day.

Each of the two floors has its own bar, currently pouring eight Crooked Can beers. A brewery associate told The Orlando Real the menu will expand as the in-house brewery continues to come online. Of the market’s 11 food vendors, Three Birds Cafe was the only one open on Thursday afternoon. General manager Deakota Sackett says most of the menu is available at the walk-up service counter, located on the first-floor. But some items, including the pancakes and seasonal coffees, are expected by the weekend.
Delahunt told The Orlando Real the grand opening will be scheduled for the fall as vendors continue to open. “They’re on a staggered schedule as far as construction and permitting, we just really wanted to open up and let everyone see what we’ve got here,” he said. “We’re hoping Braza and This Little Piggy will be ready by this weekend or next week. Everyone should be open by the end of August.”

Connie Lisboa, co-owner of Braza Brazilian Steakhouse, was onsite Thursday and waiting to hear if her vendor space would be cleared to open. “We have our inspection scheduled, so we’ll either be open this weekend or next week.”

Lisboa and her husband Thiago have been patrons of Crooked Can’s Plant Street Market since they moved to Winter Garden from Brazil. They applied for a Minneola vendor space as soon as they became available and plan to keep their existing location at 2105 N. Orange Blossom Trail. “We don’t have our food truck anymore,” she said. “The indoor spaces are so much better and we can’t wait for this one to open. We’re already getting a good reception here and we’re not even ready yet.”
Braza will occupy a second-floor location along with This Little Piggy and AJ's Pizza Joint. The rest will operate at first-floor spaces.

Crooked Can’s 42,950-square-foot dining and entertainment destination can accommodate more than 1,000 guests inside with seating for 500 at patio spaces on both floors. Live music is scheduled Thursday-Sunday and run club and cycle club dates will soon be announced.
Crooked Can Minneola hours are Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. and Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-midnight. The splash pad out front is open daily from 9 a.m. to dusk. Announcements will be posted online as vendors open, as will plans for the grand opening event this fall.
