Kabooki Sushi

Sushi lovers and lovers of small plates: we have the place for you – Kabooki Sushi! With two locations in Orlando, this location has one of the most innovative menus I’ve seen in Central Florida. They have delicious plates ranging from flavored edamame to one of a kind sushi rolls, and exquisite carrot cake to finish. If you’re looking for a great date night spot, or a place to grab incredibly yummy food, Kabooki Sushi is the place for you.

Sushi and More!

The menu at Kabooki is packed to the brim with so many one of a kind food offerings, that it might be hard to choose! Everything I have tried at this Michelin Guide restaurant is full of flavor and so tasty. Everyday, they have Chef’s Daily Choices with drink specials, cold tastings, nigiri/sashimi, and hot tastings which are suggested for that day. On the regular menu, there are a variety of small plates to choose from. One of their recommendations is moriawase, a large plate of different rolls, or sashimi, made depending on the daily catches.

My favorite dishes are the truffle parmesan edamame, the brussels sprouts, and the One Up. This is an incredible mushroom dish made with truffle and egg yolk. Our table really loved the maguro truffle which is made with tuna and mushrooms, and looks beautiful when they bring it out to the table.

Be sure to save room for dessert! The Carrot Cake and the Ube Cheesecakes are treats that we can’t miss whenever we come in to visit. They also have a chocolate lava cake which is definitely on my list for next time! Kabooki is also taking part in Magical Dining, which provides a large meal for a great value while also donating a portion of the profits to charity!

Fresh Fruit Cocktails and Sake

Just like their food, Kabooki’s drink menu is so well done and exquisitely curated. Every drink is incredibly unique and full of different flavor notes. Our favorite drinks at the table were the Green Light and the Gin Krapow. Both of these are made with gin and fresh fruit elements like kiwi, lime, apple, and cucumber. If you want to really dive in on the Japanese experience, they also have an extensive sake list ranging from hot to cold to sparkling options!

Don’t fret, if you aren’t familiar with sake flavors and which you might like best, the servers can help! They are incredibly knowledgeable about different sakes and can probably recommend one to you. We tried the sparkling sake called “Rhythmic Droplets” and it was so nicely served, and such a treat!

I hope my words on this page did justice for how wonderful everything from Kabooki truly is. The food is so flavorful and fresh, and it’s definitely at the top of my family’s list when we’re in the mood for sushi and small plates! Kabooki Sushi is definitely one of my favorite spots for a date night or a celebration dinner in Central Florida. Check out one of their two locations – Sand Lake and East Colonial!

We visited the Kabooki location on Sand Lake Road in the Dr. Phillips area. This area is perfectly filled with restaurants, activities, and beautiful views of Sand Lake! Dr. Phillips is a great location in Central Florida for families and people who love to enjoy an evening out, as there is truly so much to do here and so many different restaurants to try. Located only 10 minutes away from Universal and 20 minutes away from Disney World, this location also keeps you close to the theme parks, downtown, and the UCF area.
