Although Maitland is a city with a long history, it is also home to a multitude of new construction homes in recently-built developments. The real estate market in Maitland offers a range of property types, typically at more affordable prices (which applies to HOA fees as well)—but never sacrificing location. For this reason, many are choosing to move to this beautiful city.

Like many other Florida cities, Maitland home styles are diverse, from quaint bungalows and ranches, to large Mediterranean luxury estates. In regards to square footage, homebuyers often prefer properties in Maitland than other surrounding cities, as home sizes are generally much larger. Real estate in Maitland is primarily single-family homes, but there are also options for condos and townhomes.

Much of this city consists of new construction properties, especially in regards to condos and townhomes for sale. These homes are, as well, typically designed in more modern styles. Because of the numerous lakes around the city, many properties are also located close to or on the water, which provides excellent views and ambiance for residents. Condo amenities vary from property to property, but common features include parking, a pool and spa, outdoor space, and a fitness center.

Single-family homes, in contrast, do tend to be older properties, but there are sometimes new construction or newly renovated homes on the market. In terms of building dates, there are numerous homes built in the 1960s and 1970s, and there are opportunities to upgrade and renovate for interested buyers. Lot sizes do tend to be larger than in other areas, as well.

Waterfront homes for sale are some of the most desirable properties in the city, and therefore are often priced in the luxury bracket. Luxury homes in Maitland in general offer great locations, ample square footage, expert landscaping, and modern upgrades.
