Big developments are coming to Wellness Way in Clermont, and we think it has the potential to be the next Horizon West. The neighborhood is set to expand tremendously, including new communities and road additions.

What’s Expected for Wellness Way?
Developers of Wellness Way hope to transform the Clermont area into a high-tech and high-wage industry hub, as well as strengthen the connections they have with other hubs in the area. With this will come new housing, wellness, and employment opportunities for this area of Central Florida.
General Wellness Way Area
This nearly 16,000-acre development was initially established in 2016, and since then, there have been a multitude of developments in the works.
The Olympus Master Development is one community that will be dedicated to promoting health and wellness. Clermont is known as the “Choice of Champions” due to the number of athletes who train at the National Training Center, so this makes the perfect addition to Wellness Way - including 3.5 miles of paved trails, boardwalks, piers, and 20+ parks.
Olympus recently built a variety of apartments and single-family townhomes, as well as partnered with three companies that will greatly shape the community’s sports campus. You can read more about this project here!
Lennar Homes Gets Annexed In Clermont + More Schools
Site plan by VHB
The City of Clermont also recently approved rezoning and the annexation of a Lennar Homes age-restricted community, including a total of 699 age-restricted units. This new plan is adjacent to a master plan community in Wellness Way which was approved for 1,850 homes - called Wellness Ridge.
In addition to this, there will be 15 acres of land on this site allotted for a two-story elementary school site. An alternative plan also includes a site for a high school, and construction costs may run well over $100 million.
These plans call for 228,612 square feet of non-residential uses, including a 150,000 square foot shopping plaza.
New Construction Homes on Wellness Way
Community Expansion
On the southern part of Clermont, there's a considerable amount of open land, leaving lots of room for opportunity within Wellness Way to expand and offer more new construction and schools for growing families.
Currently in Horizon West, there’s the Del Webb Oasis active adult community by Pulte, with the addition of another active adult Del Webb community coming soon just north of this in the (hopefully near) future!
Overall
Wellness Way has a lot in store for both Central Florida and interested buyers. With it being set to become the new hub for all things high-tech, this development will open up opportunities for everyone. Founded in 1884 and incorporated in 1916, Clermont has become known for its picturesque hills and pristine lakes. It has increasingly become a hot spot for new businesses, restaurants, and families to settle in due to its great amenities and close proximity to Orlando. One of our favorites include SmallCakes, your one stop shop for gourmet cupcakes and treats.
With a variety of things to do, Clermont makes for a wonderful city to settle down in. If you’re interested in buying or selling in the Central Florida area, our team would be more than happy to assist!
