Montrose Street Market

Things Move Slower in Clermont

Clermont is a whole different aesthetic compared to downtown areas of Orlando. It’s covered in rolling hills and stretching plains, things move a little slower, in a good way.

If you’re looking for a reason to head out there, the best place to start is the historic district. There you can find the local businesses lining the area. Alongside all the shops up and down main street, a stunning example of Clermont’s entrepreneurship is Montrose Street Market, the go-to spot for an abundance of food, coffee and live music.

What’s it got?

Montrose houses 8 vendors in the hall, each specializing in very different and all extremely delicious foods. The variety here must be what brings so many people in, there’s something for everyone!

Coffee / Breakfast

What’s a food hall without a decadent coffee shop? Visit Golden Hills Coffee Roasters, order yourself an americano and say hello to your very productive day. This place takes the freshness of coffee to a whole new level. The roasting process is taken seriously and has been since 2010. They’ve mastered the art of roasting coffee and are proud to present hot/cold artisanal coffees and a recent addition of breakfast sandwiches!

Beer

Once the day has reached its end and happy hour approaches, pay a visit to Sud’s Saloon for craft beers, signature cocktails and friendly staff! The environment is nice and tucked away under the stairs in the back of the food hall.

Options From The Sea

Poke Kai is one of the newer vendors at Montrose, only being there two years and becoming one of the most popular poke bowl restaurants in the area! Here you can find fresh ingredients to build your perfect bowl or try the signature recipes off their menu! If you’re not feeling bowls, no worries!  Design Sushi has you covered with a huge menu of classic sushi rolls, sashimi and appetizers. Design Sushi combines food and art with their elegantly styled dishes.

Delicious BBQ and Treats

My favorite place to eat in the market has to be Box Grill. All the BBQ you could ask for, hearty sides, and fast service. Afterwards when the sweet tooth hits, which it always does, the perfect craving cure is The Tasty Crepes for crepes, milkshakes or ice cream. You can also check out Sir Benji’s Donuts for a quick treat, or Pico Bistro for their sweet empanadas!

Conclusion

Montrose Street Market has so many delicious options and is perfect for your trip out over the weekend. Grab some food, get a drink, and walk down to Apopka Lake just a short trot down the street. Walk down the pier, take in the views, and relax.
