The Local Bar & Grill

Football fans: get ready! ‘Tis the season for football and good food, and we’re visiting some of the best sports bars in Central Florida. This week, we visited The Local in College Park, a place filled with good food and lots of fun.

The Sports Bar

The Local stands out from many other sports bars because of its really cool atmosphere. Walking in, you’ll see the traditional bar setting as well as high top tables and chairs. Also common among sports bars: The Local has a variety of different games to play like arcade games and pool.

However, The Local also has a record player with a huge array of vintage records to get the tunes pumping. There are also records and music posters all over the bar for a really fun touch.

The Local also hosts a variety of events from Sports watching parties to Trivia Nights! We visited on an evening with a Trivia Night and the place definitely filled up fast! Be sure to get there early for a spot if you are looking to compete with the other trivia fiends!

Bar Food & Drinks

The Local serves elevated bar food that will truly fuel you for a day of football. This is the place to go for an incredible burger or a super stacked sandwich. One of their most popular items is the Local Club which is a double decker sandwich with ham, roast beef and cheese. Along with hearty sandwiches, this bar also serves snack foods like wings, tater tots, mozzarella sticks, and salads, so there is no shortage of snacks to enjoy while watching your team get a touchdown. Vegetarians and vegans, have no fear! The Local also serves up beyond burgers that are grilled to perfection.

As far as drinks go, The Local mainly serves beers and canned cocktails, many of them locally made or brewed. Be sure to check out their happy hour for deliciously discounted food and drinks.

If you are looking for a sports bar to visit to watch this week’s game, may we suggest The Local? Delicious food and drinks are served in a really cool atmosphere while 80s hits play in the background. For every first down, this place will be sure to keep your thirst down.

College Park

College Park is a beautiful area in Orlando that has so much to offer. Beautiful homes and neighborhoods with hanging trees set the tone for this community that supports many different locally owned businesses and restaurants. Some of my favorites are Cups & Pups, a coffee shop that you can bring your dog to and The Soda Fountain, a vintage inspired ice cream shop! College Park is also conveniently close to Downtown, the Milk District, and Winter Park with a short drive to the theme parks and UCF. Interested in homes near College Park?
