If you’re looking for a restaurant that celebrates Mardi Gras on a daily basis, Tibby’s is the perfect place right here in Central Florida! Their large New Orleans-inspired menu and eccentric decor make it a fun and tasty stop.
The Menu
Since Tibby’s is centered around New Orleans, the menu offers a variety of New Orleans cuisine. Their Fried Pickle Slices are a delicious appetizer to start with and of course, the Gumbo is delicious as well. The Chicken and Waffles are perfect for you if you want a southern delicacy. They also offer a wide range of Po Boys and Cajun Baskets authentic to New Orleans!
The Atmosphere
Tibby’s is known for its eccentric New Orleans decor, and their three locations have different centerpieces from various Mardi Gras floats. At the Winter Park location, the main decor is a pirate from a float in 2004, and the Altamonte location centerpiece is inspired by the Trip to the Moon. Just a little further south of Central Florida, the Brandon location centerpiece is Grecian inspired from 1976. The walls of Tibby's are so colorful along with the photos and artwork around the restaurants, giving all of these locations an energetic feel.
Events
Tibby’s offers live music on select days of the week and even allows for private parties in their party rooms. These are decorated head to toe with authentic New Orleans decor and can seat up to 30 people per room. For Mardi Gras, they offer a block party every year, featuring free beads, happy hour all day, a DJ, King Cake, and a special Mardi Gras menu!

If you're looking for a place to celebrate the Mardi Gras season, and enjoy the taste of New Orleans year round, stop on by! There are currently two Central Florida locations where you can experience Tibby's New Orlean's Kitchen - Winter Park and Altamonte Springs. They're open 7 days a week, and typically open at 10:00/11:00 AM, and close around 9:00/10:00 PM dependent on the day.
Park Avenue
My favorite Tibby’s restaurant is located near the heart of Winter Park, just a few minutes away from Park Avenue. It’s surrounded by shops and restaurants that you can stop in and take a look at before or after dining. The Aloma Cinema Grille is right next door making it the perfect place to eat before catching a quick flick. Winter Park is known for its beautiful brick roads and large houses. The architecture has a distinct look that makes it a nice city to just walk around in.
