West Kissimmee Home Sells for $550K

By Holley Long

The Pozek Group team assisted a buyer just this past week with a beautiful home in Kissimmee, closing at $550,000 in the Westside Calabria neighborhood after a few months on the market.

The Home

Built in 2013, the two-story home is a short-term vacation rental that has a lot going for it. The home's 6 bedrooms (two of which are master bedrooms) give family and friends plenty of room for their own space, and 4.5 bathrooms allow everyone to get ready quickly for a day or night out in Orlando. An upstairs loft can be used as a play area for children, and the Disney-themed bedrooms will help get the kids excited for a trip to the theme parks.

Outside, the home backs up to a wooded area, offering privacy and a peaceful view of nature, while a covered lanai provides protection from nature’s critters. Within the lanai is a large pool, along with a jacuzzi to relax in after a long day.

Sold

The home was originally listed for $625,000 last November of 2022, but saw some price decreases. It closed this April for $550,000, which was a great deal for our client with it being $75,000 less than the original list price. The closing price was also over $50,000 less than the average sold price of similar homes in the Calabria neighborhood over the past year.

Our team had the opportunity to represent this buyer, and we are so happy that we were able to help find the perfect home for them in this area. If you’re looking to buy or sell, we would love to help you as well!

Kissimmee

Spanning over Osceola County into Orange, Kissimmee is adjacent to popular vacation destinations like Reunion and Celebration. Walt Disney World is just minutes away if you’re on the west side, but can be up to 25 minutes from the east side near downtown Kissimmee. Popular weekend spots for locals are Lake Toho and downtown Kissimmee, where you can find classic staples like print shops, barber shops, restaurants and even some shopping.

The average sale price of homes in the 34747 zip code is in the mid $500’s. However, the average price for a home in Kissimmee is in the mid $300’s, making it one of the more affordable places to live in the Orlando area. Kissimmee is certainly a great place to live, but the city’s location to tourist destinations makes it worthwhile to invest in a property that can be used as a short-term or long-term rental.
