The city of Apopka is located northwest of the city of Orlando. It sits on Lake Apopka, which covers an area of over 30,000 acres, making it the fourth-largest lake in the state. Apopka is recognized for its state parks and natural areas, as well as its family-friendly atmosphere and rich history, and it hosts various events throughout the year—most notably, the Apopka Art & Foliage Festival. This city is about a 40 to 50-minute drive to Disney and about a 30-minute drive to downtown Orlando.
