Once again, new and exciting projects are coming to the City Beautiful. Plans that were underway have been scrapped, but there are still a few things to get excited about. Let’s check it all out!
O-Town West
O-Town West is one of Orlando’s latest and greatest developments, and loads of new amenities are coming to this community.

This 350-acre development is a healthy mix of residential apartment living and food options, including Jeff’s Bagel Run, which will be opening its third location in this community.
O-Town West will also have 1,600 Marriott World Vacations employees working in the buildings around the area.
If you’re interested in living in O-Town West, there are a few different residential options to choose from.
For homes, there are the Ruby Lake and Parkview Reserve neighborhoods, and for apartments, there are the Bentley and Glass House complexes.
Parkview Reserve is a new Pulte neighborhood and will be one of the last opportunities to build a brand new house in the Dr. Phillips area.
The Bentley is dubbed as one of the nicest apartment complexes in Orlando as it is gated and has high amenities. The Glass House is also an elevated, luxury apartment complex in the area with amazing amenities.
Daryl Carter Parkway is a relatively new highway and since its construction, it has brought in new buildings and projects like Lake Buena Vista High School. In turn, this will soon reduce much of the traffic that builds up on Sand Lake Road once it gets its own I-4 exit.
Society Orlando
Renting in Downtown Orlando can be tough and very expensive, and Orlando residents are beginning to recognize that. That’s where Society Orlando comes in.
Society Orlando is a soon-to-be apartment complex located downtown that will offer reasonably priced housing, complete with a variety of on-site amenities.

Most of the units in this complex will consist of studios and one bedrooms, but about 30% of the spaces will be available to rent by room, making co-living way easier and taking away the stress of finding someone to rent an apartment — and share a bathroom — with!
Society Living apartments also come complete with a pool deck, an outdoor entertainment lounge, a ground floor food hall, a retail plaza and a modern gym and fitness room.
Society Orlando is projected to open in the fall of 2023.
Orlando Magic Entertainment District
The Orlando Magic is finally moving forward with its entertainment district after nearly a decade of planning, and it will be located right next to the Amway Center.
Over 420,00 square feet of retail and office space will be coming to this area.
Much of this will be an indoor/outdoor entertainment destination, which is perfect for those who want to check out the city after watching a Magic game or going to a concert.

The Under-i Project: AMENDED
After a significant amount of funds were set aside for this project, it has ultimately been amended. The under I-4 buildout was meant to be a cool, urban community park that would sit right next door to the new Orlando Magic entertainment district.

After the completion of the I-4 Ultimate construction project, Downtown Orlando was left with a lot of open space beneath the highway between Church and Washington streets.
The initial plans were to put a community park in the “Under-i4,” but that space has now re-entered the design phase (of which could take up to 18 months). The direction the city is headed is creating a "multi-modal hub for biking, ride-share and parking while also incorporating cultural amenities, lighting, and artwork that will create one of the largest immersive outdoor experiences in the United States. As we work to refine the design, this space will fulfill its vision to bridge both the east and west and unite downtown by delivering creative and engaging experiences for all".
Due to the expansion of the entertainment offerings near the Amway Arena, this new reimagined parking/flex space will be a needed area of improvement to continue the cities goal of having a cohesive downtown destination.
