What We Know About Dark Universe
Universal is renowned for its ability to accelerate horror to new heights, especially with its annual spooky spectacular, Halloween Horror Nights. Come 2025, however, we’ll be getting a new, year-round terrifying affair to play with called Dark Universe.
Dark Universe explores the shadowy village known as Darkmoor, which is where all of Universal’s famed monsters reside. Prepare to come face to face with Dracula, The Wolf Man, Frankenstein’s Monster, and so much more.

The frightening stories of these iconic monsters you know and love are getting a chilling new twist. Dark Universe unveils a whole new generation of characters and monsters, such as Dr. Victoria Frankenstein — great-great-granddaughter of the notorious Henry Frankenstein — who continues taking on his atrocious experiments.

Once you've experienced Darkmoor's monster makers, you’ll be one with the monsters themselves at Meet the Monsters where you can see the Bride of Frankenstein, as well as many other unusual creators lurking around the land.

After you've got your fill of scares and horror, you can commemorate the moment at Pretorius’ Scientific Oddities, a retail shop sporting merchandise and mementos that allow you to bring home part of the world of Dark Universe.
Dining at Dark Universe
Feast upon the most fearsome fares at one of the many themed dining locations around Darkmoor. Das Stakehaus hails as the village’s most ominous restaurant as it boasts an extensive dining hall run by vampire familiars. You can find its walls clad in artwork depicting the history of the creatures of the night, and enjoy tastes of kebabs, burgers, sandwiches, and more.

The Burning Blade Tavern is an old mill transformed into an electrifying eatery by Darkmoor’s monster hunters. Indulge in savory burgers, wings, bratwurst, pretzels, and specialty beverages while tuning into tales of the infamous “Hounds” while surrounded by an array of monster heads — better known as “trophies” by the hunters!
