Harry Potter's birthday came with new details of the new land at Epic Universe - Ministry of Magic!
One of five worlds coming to Orlando's most anticipated theme park, Epic Universe, the Ministry of Magic is the third addition to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter that debuted in the Universal parks in 2010 and 2014.

"Set in wizarding Paris from Warner Bros. Pictures Fantastic Beasts films and the British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter film series, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic features an awe-inspiring collection of experiences that includes fantastical dining, whimsical retail, spellbinding entertainment and the most ambitious, groundbreaking ride Universal has ever created."
Park guests will be immersed in 1920's Place Cachée, a shopping district within wizarding Paris, and will be able to travel across time and location to 1990's London using the Métro-Floo - utilizing floo powder that can be seen in the fifth Harry Potter film when Harry and other wizards travel to the Ministry of Magic.
Magical Attractions and Entertainment
- Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry - Noted as one of Universal's most impressive attractions to date, this ride takes you on a journey to the British Ministry of Magic for the long-awaited trial of Dolores Umbridge. Guests will travel through the grand atrium and board magical, omnidirectional lifts to watch the trial take place… until Umbridge attempts to escape. The chase ensues throughout the ministry with the help from some familiar faces, while dodging attacks from Death Eaters and other magical creatures.
- Le Cirque Arcanus - This live, full-scale theatre experience will feature live performers, aerialists, puppetry, and special effects. "The show follows Ringmaster Skender, who has stolen Newt Scamander’s suitcase – where Demiguise, Diricawl, Mooncalves and more reside – to try and bring the failing Le Cirque Arcanus back to its former glory. It’s then up to circus employee Gwenlyn to rescue these creatures before they end up in Skender’s greedy hands forever.
In addition to the attractions, the land will also include wandering residents of the wizard world "including exchange students from the Hogwarts and Ilvermorny Schools of Witchcraft and Wizardry, an Auror from the Ministère des Affaires Magiques de la France who roams inquiring of suspicious characters, talking portraits of delightful wizards who engage with locals about the happenings in Place Cachée."
Shopping and Dining
The land features a number of interactive elements that will make guests fully immersed in the magical world, with the ability to cast spells, engage with enchanted items, and meet fantastic beasts such as Nifflers, Bowtruckles and a Demiguise. If you'd like to practice your hand in spell-casting, check out the world's finest wands at Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique, packaged in unique three-sided boxes.
After getting paired with a wand, you can shop for other Ministry of Magic-themed items at the Métro-Floo gift shop, Tour En Floo.
Once you're done shopping and exploring the area, enjoy delicious international delights at Café L'Air De La Sirène, a charming café offering French sandwiches, plats du jour and desserts, and Le Gobelet Noir, where the dark witches and wizards enjoy a larger menu of offerings over hushed conversations.
Other locations to grab a drink or some small bites include Bar Moonshine, the Bièraubeurre Cart (otherwise known as Butterbeer), or the French confectionary shop, K. Rammelle.
Other Lands Coming to Epic Universe
In total, there will be 4 unique lands showcased at Universal's new theme park coming in 2025 - Epic Universe. Celestial Park, the heart of the park and an original concept by Universal, Super Nintendo World and Dark Universe on the West side, and How to Train your Dragon: the Isle of Berk with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic on the East side.

We are very excited to learn more about the coming lands, and what we can expect to experience next year! The lineup just keeps getting better, and it's evident that Universal is bringing some wonderful additions to the Orlando area when it comes to the attraction and dining options. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic plans to bring the introduction of the floo network with new ride technology, a live theater experience, French dining options, and more!
