Explore Orlando Single-Family Homes For Sale

Whilst perhaps most well-known for its theme parks, the lively city of Orlando is also home to a number of established neighborhoods. With excellent amenities and beautiful lots, the single-family homes on the Orlando real estate market are ideal for both the growing family for laid-back retirement.

From smaller bungalows to sprawling waterfront estates, listings in Orlando encompass a wide range of styles, designs, and construction dates. The city is known for its history, and as a result, there are a good number of properties that have been built before the year 1950—and these are typically located closer to the downtown area.

Homes in some of Orlando’s historic districts—such as Lake Lawsona, Lake Leona Heights, Lake Cherokee, Thornton Park, and Delaney Park—have often been immaculately maintained, preserving the original features of the property. Neighborhoods such as these usually feature Craftsman-style bungalows, although some homes have been completely renovated and modernized. Properties in these neighborhoods are quite desirable for their picturesque streets and nearby amenities, so price points tend to be higher. Historic homes, like the real estate market all throughout Orlando, range in price point (starting under $500,000 and reaching multiple millions), as well as architectural style and square footage.

Single-family homes for sale also include newer properties, but these are rarer to find close to the downtown. Generally, new construction homes are located outside of Orlando, in neighboring cities and communities, with commuters as homeowners—although there are sometimes listings located in the southwestern districts. More prevalent are the luxury neighborhoods, which include (but are not limited to) College Park, Audubon Park, and Baldwin Park

Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms are typical of single-family homes on the market, making these properties a great choice for families. As well, many homes come with sizable backyards (some of which back onto the waterfront) and outdoor pools are a relatively common feature in higher-priced homes. HOA fees also vary from property to property, with some single-family homes having no or low HOA fees. Some neighborhoods, such as Baldwin Park, have exclusive amenities for residents only.

Orlando Highlights & Amenities

With its multitude of neighborhoods, each Orlando district offers something a little bit different. And, because of these, amenities do vary from area to area. Despite this, the city is known for its excellent amenities, many of which are just a short drive away from wherever you are located.

Disney–and, by extension, the other theme parks, such as Universal Studios—is one of the biggest attractions in the area. Located southwest of the city, those who love the parks will enjoy the easy drive, especially those moving from outside of the Orlando area. An expensive vacation can now be a spontaneous day trip for Orlando residents.

The downtown also features a multitude of highlights. Those living in around this part of the city can bike, walk, or drive to the center of all the action. This means dining at excellent restaurants, browsing the local shops, seeing a concert or sporting event, working out at the various gyms and fitness centers, visiting the science center or museum, and so much more. Orlando neighborhoods have parks and playgrounds for the kids to hang around on, and great schools for them to attend.
